NATIONAL MOTORSPORT WEEK CHALLENGE
Chelmsford Motor Club & Eastern Counties Motor Club are pleased to announce the National Motorsport Week Challenge - a trophy to be awarded to the driver with the lowest aggregate score on Javalin's Jumbo Jymkhana, at Woodbridge on 1st July (the first day of National Motorsports Week) and the Waterbeach Autosolo on 8th July (the last day of National Motorsport Week).
The trophy will be presented at Chelmsford Motor Club's annual barbecue on 19th July at Chelmsford Rugby Club. Both events are deliberately suitable for novices and the more experienced competitor alike, and there will be experienced competitors and organisers available to help those new to the sport. Standard road cars with no modifications needed will be most suitable and welcome to those wishing to give motorsport a try for the first time. Chelmsford Motor Club, the JLT Sport / MSA Club of the Year 2009, organise many events throughout the year and have around 400 members, the majority of whom are active competitors, marshals and organisers.
Founded in 1950, Eastern Counties Motor Club organizes many motorsport events throughout the year, including sessions designed for beginners. The club even has its own club Mini and Fiesta XR2 for beginners to use at their separately run “have a go” sessions.
