Normandy Rescue & Marshals Association Celebrates FIRST EVER NMW event!

This is National Motor Sport Week in the UK when many clubs try to attract new spectators, volunteers and potential new drivers and riders into the sport by holding open days and evenings.

As it is difficult in Jersey to do an actual hands-on event because of the lack of a circuit where those interested can drive and ride, representatives of a number of clubs and associations will be taking their vehicles into the Royal Square tomorrow.
Normandy Rescue will have two of their rescue units, complete with medical and extrication equipment for people to see. The secretary of the Jersey Motor Cycle and Light Car Club, Cathy Roberts, will be there with her hill climb/sprint car. There will also be a Ford Escort which took pat in the last Jersey Rally, as well as a couple of motocross bikes, and the Jersey Kart Club will have adult and cadet Karts on show.

Dates and venues

The event will be in the Royal Square from 1pm - 5pm. Contact information will be available for the various clubs and there will be details and venues for the motorsports events scheduled for the remainder of the year.
