Business Excellence in Motorsport recognised by MIA Awards
Over £2000 raised for the Motorsport Foundation Raffle, presented by Derek Bell MBE

The Motorsport Industry Association's (MIA) coveted Business Excellence Awards were presented last Thursday night (January 14) to the very best motorsport companies during its prestigious annual Awards Dinner at the NEC, Birmingham. As part of this evening 500 guests donated over £2000 to the Motorsport Foundation Raffle. The prize of a luxury visit to London staying at the Intercontinental London Park Lane was presented by Derek Bell MBE to Davina Gottschalk from Delivered on Time.
The outstanding management team from Brawn GP showed true excellence and won the MIA Business of the Year Award. Taking the company from likely closure, through a complex MBO to a highly successful sale in just 36 weeks, whilst winning a World Championship is exceptional for any business! Other winners displayed equal tenacity and determination to win in this highly competitive industry, setting exceptional standards.
All motorsport companies are eligible to win one of these sought-after awards, nominations for which are made by the MIA membership. Winners have gained the respect and support of their industry peers, making these Awards especially meaningful to the winners.
The sell-out MIA Dinner was attended by an audience of 500 executives from the international motorsport business community. In addition to the Award sponsors listed below, the Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG) donated a weekend for two at the Intercontinental Park Lane in aid of the Motorsport Foundation and Racecar Engineering magazine celebrated its 20th anniversary by supporting a VIP reception.
