Crash! The Second Novel From F1 Author Toby Vintcent launched

Sex, corruption, sabotage and spy games are the themes that run through Crash, an explosive thriller set in the world of Formula One and Moscow’s corridors of power.
Published by Arcadia Books on 1st July 2016 it draws upon such realworld stories as the inaugural Russian Grand Prix and the rise of Russian Red Bull star Daniil Kvyat, along with heightened political tensions, highprofile assassinations, alleged profiteering and embezzlement around the Sochi Winter Olympics, and the Russian Athletic Federation’s doping
scandal.
Continuing from Toby Vintcent’s highly acclaimed first novel Driven, Crash sees the return of female F1 driver Remy Sabatino, with the third in the series being published next year.
Crash follows the Ptarmigan F1 team to an all-new race, the Moscow Grand Prix. Remy Sabatino arrives in Russia to a public rally of support, despite increasing tensions with her Russian teammate. However, following a devastating accident which takes the lives of 34 spectators, Sabatino is placed under arrest whilst recovering in hospital and charged with corporate manslaughter.
Ahead of the trial, and facing increasing hostility from Russian public opinion and State media, the Ptarmigan team find the wreck of their car impounded, and are prompted to call in Matt Straker to investigate the crash. Straker soon finds himself tangled up in a world of oligarchs, a corrupt prosecutor, and a political power struggle that goes as high as the Kremlin.
With tense on-track action, leading to a bold plan to extricate the F1 team from a corrupt Russian show trial, Vintcent’s new novel is rich on technical and political details. Crash promises to engage readers across the board with fast-paced action and memorable characters.
