MotorFest star cars line up for big preview display

A wonderful display of cars will be on show in Ormskirk town centre on Saturday 9 July for a fantastic preview of what people are likely to see at one of the biggest free family events in the North West.
Ormskirk MotorFest 2016 takes place on Sunday 28 August and thousands of people will visit Ormskirk to see more than 300 cars and motorcycles from all eras of motoring on display in Coronation Park and Ormskirk town centre.
People will be given a taste of what this year’s MotorFest will have to offer when a selection of competition and classic vehicles are displayed in Ormskirk town centre to officially launch the countdown to Ormskirk MotorFest 2016. The display is also organised to support National Motorsport Week. This display is organised every year to preview the MotorFest and has helped Aintree Circuit Club win best club display for the last three years.
Ormskirk MotorFest is organised each year by Aintree Circuit Club with the support of West Lancashire Borough Council.
Councillor John Hodson, portfolio holder for Planning and Development, said: “There will be some marvellous vehicles on display in Ormskirk on Saturday 9 July, and this line-up was a great way of giving people a glimpse of what will be in store on the big day. Make sure you put the date of Sunday 28 August in your diary so you don’t miss the fantastic free Ormskirk MotorFest.
“With so many thousands of visitors expected to come to Ormskirk for the MotorFest, we hope that town centre businesses will take advantage of this great opportunity and open up on MotorFest day.”
Mike Ashcroft, Aintree Circuit Club chairman, said: “We are planning some great attractions to make the MotorFest a great day out for all the family. This year we also have a Concours de Elegance competition for the first time which will see some of the really top class vehicles at the MotorFest in a special display in Coronation Park.”
If you have a vintage, classic, competition or exciting car or motorcycle that you would like to display at the MotorFest, and or the Concours de Elegance please go to www.ormskirkmotorfest.com.
