For the 5th consecutive year the MIA is promoting National Motorsport Week, which takes place on 7-15 August 2010. The week is an initiative from the Motorsport Industry Association (MIA) and the Motorsport Foundation, which generates funds for good causes to develop the UK motorsport industry and the sport.
Providing a platform to reach out and inspire newcomers to motorsport NMW's aim is simple; to promote and inspire the excitement of motorsport to new audiences - to generate more interest, more spectators, more competitors, more jobs, more marshals and more officials.
The spectacular results and exhilarating racing from British F1 Drivers supported a 7% leap in UK F1 viewing figures to over 29 million per race. This year also combines considerably challenging economic conditions whilst at the start of the season, F1 experienced the most extreme changes to technical regulations in its history. It is unquestionably an exceptionally exciting time for motorsport and sets the pace to grow public and media awareness across all motorsport disciplines in 2010.
To achieve this we need YOUR support and encouragement to help introduce new fans,
competitors, spectators, organisers, engineers, journalists, photographers, and highly-needed
marshals to the most thrilling sport on the planet!
